Referral terms

1. Whisky Earn, powered by Awin

Whisky Earn is a separate programme from the native referral system. Rewards are tracked, approved, and paid entirely by Awin, under Awin's own publisher terms, together with these programme terms. We never compute or pay a whisky Earn reward ourselves: once a sale is approved, Awin pays you directly, on its own schedule and terms. Joining requires a separate Awin publisher account, approved by Awin, not by us.

• Adult audiences only: Whisky Earn is limited to verified members aged 18 or over.
• No investment or returns language: never claim or imply a guaranteed, expected, or estimated financial outcome from a cask, in any promotion carrying your link.
• No paid ads or bidding on our name: you may not run paid search, social, or display advertising bidding on The Whisky Index's brand terms, trademarks, or close misspellings of them.
• Disclose the link: UK advertising law (the CAP Code, enforced by the ASA) requires clear, visible disclosure before anyone engages with your link, exactly as any other referral link on The Whisky Index requires.
• Rewards may be taxable income in your hands; reporting and paying any tax due is your responsibility.
• Only members in a country currently covered by our Awin programme may join, shown to you at the time you try to join.
• No self-referral: you may never buy a cask through your own Awin link, whether that purchase is on this account, a different account, or under a different name or email. We check every sale against verified identity, account email, and payment details, and flag anything that matches an Earn member to be declined in Awin.
