Ownership Confirmation.

The bonded warehouse holding your cask has confirmed the transfer into your name. Its own warehouse records now show you as the owner — that update, made directly in the warehouse's own records, is the step that makes your ownership real and legally complete. This notification and your dashboard record on The Index report that fact to you; they don't themselves create or complete it, and neither is required to access, manage, or release your cask — the warehouse acts on your verified identity and its own current records, not on presentation of any document. Your dashboard on The Index now shows your permanent ownership record: distillery, cask number, fill date, and the transfer date.

Now that your ownership is confirmed, we move your cask to Campbeltown Bond at our own cost, in your name, unless it's already held there — in which case no move is needed. This happens after, and separately from, the ownership transfer above: it doesn't affect when your ownership became legally complete.

Campbeltown Bond records you as the owner of your cask and will set up your own direct account for it — separately from your account with The Index, not through The Index, and not shared with or visible to The Index. You'll have direct access to your cask's warehouse records, in your own name, and the ability to contact Campbeltown Bond directly about your cask — storage, insurance, regauging, sampling, a future transfer or bottling, or if you ever lose or need to re-request your documents.

This isn't something The Index arranges on your behalf: Campbeltown Bond sets this up with you directly and holds operational control of your cask on their side from that point on, and is your direct point of contact for anything to do with it.

Casks priced over £8,000 include 3 years of storage and insurance at Campbeltown Bond, from the date ownership transfers to you. After that — or for casks at £8,000 or under, from the start — Campbeltown Bond charges its standard rates directly to you, which we confirm before you buy. Either way, we move your cask to Campbeltown Bond at our own cost. Other warehouse services, such as regauging or sampling, aren't included.

The Index verified your cask before you bought it and manages your purchase, payment, and ownership record on this platform. Once your ownership is confirmed, day-to-day contact about the cask itself — its physical condition, storage, and any future changes to it — goes directly through Campbeltown Bond, using your own account there. The Index does not manage or have access to that account.

This notification is not a warehouse receipt, document of title, delivery order, or negotiable instrument. It cannot be transferred, endorsed, or presented to anyone to claim, move, or release your cask, and it confers no rights beyond informing you of Campbeltown Bond's own record.
